A plug-in balcony solar system with an optional 1.9 kWh battery that feeds your home through a wall outlet. Sold in the US only in Utah (under H.B. 340).
Craftstrom Plug & Play Balcony Kit
A US zero-export balcony kit (800–1,600 W) with a smart power meter that throttles output to avoid grid export. Nearly plug-and-play — the meter install needs an electrician.
Bright Saver Balcony Solar Kit
At-cost plug-in solar kits from a nonprofit, built around the Hoymiles HiFlow Pro. Pre-order shipping from August 2026, available in ~47 states; a small membership unlocks wholesale pricing.
PluggedSolar Plug-and-Play Kit
A DIY grid-tie solar kit (800 W–1.8 kW) that plugs into a 110/120V wall socket, sold on Amazon.
Zendure SolarFlow Kit
A plug-in solar + expandable battery balcony kit (Hyper 2000). A listed US consumer product, but frequently out of stock — check availability at the link.
Microinverters
The box that turns panel DC into household AC. The heart of a plug-in setup.
Hoymiles HiFlow Pro
A plug-into-outlet balcony microinverter, up to four units to 1,200 W — launched July 2026 and marketed as the first US plug-in inverter certified to UL 3700.
Hoymiles HMS-800-2T-NA
An 800 W two-module grid-tie microinverter. Trade/DIY gear with AC trunk-cable output — widely repurposed for balcony builds, but not a listed 120V plug-in appliance.
APsystems EZ1-LV
A true plug-into-wall dual-MPPT microinverter (~800–900 VA). APsystems now sells it direct to US homeowners.
Solar panels
The modules themselves. Match wattage to your microinverter’s input, not to the biggest panel that fits the railing.
Rich Solar MEGA 400
A 400 W 24V rigid monocrystalline panel with a clean panel-level UL 61730 certification — a common match for plug-in microinverters.
Renogy 400W Rigid Monocrystalline
A mainstream 400 W rigid mono module, widely stocked (Renogy, Amazon, Home Depot).

SanTan Solar Used Panels (300–400W)
Inspected used/surplus name-brand panels (e.g. SunPower) at a fraction of new price. Best value on multi-panel orders because of shipping.
Railing mounts & racking
How the panel attaches to the railing — the part a wind load actually tests. Worth knowing: essentially no consumer balcony railing bracket carries UL 2703; that certification exists only on roof/ground rail systems. Buy for rated load, not for a UL mark that isn’t offered here.
